Ronald L. Macklin Born: March 7, 1936 Died: August 12, 2024 Ronald L. Macklin, 88, of Rochelle, died Monday, August 12, 2024 at Liberty Village in Rochelle, IL surrounded by his family. He worked at Macklin's Quarry in Rochelle for 62 years and was a member of Local 150 Operators. Ronald was born on March 7, 1936 in Steward, IL to Harry and Gertrude (Kugler) Macklin. After graduating from the Steward High School, he married Elsie Gittleson on April 27, 1957. Ron was a member of the Rochelle United Methodist Church. He was also a past Steward town board member, volunteer fireman for the Steward Fire Department, and a former Rochelle VFW and Moose Club member.
