Loretta A. Uhlar, peacefully went home to her Lord and Savior on August 15 2024, in Byron, Illinois, at the age of 78. Born on September 23, 1945, in McConnell, IL the daughter of Leroy and Nancy (McQuerry) Stabenow. Loretta lived a life filled with love, faith, and an unwavering commitment to her family. She graduated from Freeport High School. She married the love of her life, John Uhlar on October 3, 1964 and they spent 57 beautiful years together until he preceded her in death on February 1, 2022. For over 26 years, Loretta dedicated herself to the Meridian School District as a custodian at the Junior High. Loretta's culinary skills were legendary among her family and friends, and she was particularly known for her cheesy potatoes and even though she loved cookbooks most of her recipes were in her heart and cannot be recreated. A woman of profound faith, Loretta found solace and strength in her church community at First Baptist Church in Oregon where she stayed active and was the
